About Nuvéo
Previously known as the Créneau d’excellence éolien (founded in 2007), Nuvéo is one of Québec’s clusters of excellence. It brings together a range of companies engaged in interrelated economic activities in the development of renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources such as wind, solar, small hydro and energy storage.
Nuvéo serves the designated administrative region of Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine and the MRC de la Matanie. This area is home to the majority of wind farms, manufacturers, service providers, organisations and educational institutions, all dedicated to the development of this sector of activity. Through its work, the cluster strengthens the industry actively participating in the energy transition.
Mission
Contributing to the acceleration of the energy transition through new partnerships and structuring projects.
Vision
To be recognized as a facilitating and enterprising organization at the heart of the broad network of stakeholders in the renewable energy industry.
Sustainable development
We believe that renewable energy helps make the world a better place, in addition to enabling Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine and the whole of Québec to contribute to decarbonisation of the economy.

Québec's industrial clusters
Implemented by the Quebec Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy, the clusters of excellence aim to mobilize businesses in their respective sectors around collaborative projects in order to:
- enable their region to distinguish itself based on its recognized specific industrial expertise;
increase productivity by focusing on innovation and collaboration; - foster the creation of industrial networks through collaborative projects;
- and contribute to the implementation of structuring economic projects in Quebec’s regions.
These collaborative initiatives are implemented by companies within the cluster based on their needs, for example:
- innovation or research projects;
- training, mobilization, or promotional activities;
- and sector development activities.
There are 24 clusters distributed across 14 regions and 12 economic sectors.
