As an industrial cluster in renewable energy in Quebec, this initiative reflects the leadership of the Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine region and the Matane Regional County Municipality (MRC) in wind and solar energy. Small-scale hydroelectricity and energy storage are also key areas of focus.

Communication and Representation
Nuvéo continues to expand its network of relationships. The renewable energy cluster is gaining visibility through its closer ties with industry leaders and institutions. This involves participating in events, serving on committees, and volunteering for tasks related to the cluster’s mandate, all in support of these stakeholders.
Business Development
For the industry, 2025 was marked by uncertainties surrounding cross-border trade with our southern neighbor. The time has come for Nuvéo to support its members in their efforts to diversify their markets, specifically elsewhere in Canada, Europe, and South America. Nuvéo can help unite these efforts and position the sector and its SMEs as pioneers in Canada. This can be achieved through shared booth rentals at events or the development of specific missions.
Project Management
In accordance with the Ministry’s objectives, clusters of excellence must be involved in or manage collaborative projects that bring together companies within their scope. The relaunch of the Quebec Operators Committee, the awareness campaign for Nuvéo, its members, and the industry, as well as the online directory of pre-qualified companies, are the projects currently underway under Nuvéo’s responsibility.

Implemented by the Quebec Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy, the clusters of excellence aim to mobilize businesses in their respective sectors around collaborative projects in order to:
- enable their region to distinguish itself based on its recognized specific industrial expertise;
increase productivity by focusing on innovation and collaboration; - increase productivity by focusing on innovation and collaboration;
- foster the creation of industrial networks through collaborative projects;
- and contribute to the implementation of structuring economic projects in Quebec’s regions.
These collaborative initiatives are implemented by companies within the cluster based on their needs, for example:
- Innovation or research projects;
- training, mobilization, or promotional activities;
- and sector development activities.
There are 24 clusters distributed across 14 regions and 12 economic sectors.
